If you're a big fan of fairy tales, these MVs will definitely make you crazy

Let's join idols in a journey to the fairy world!

"Genie" - Girls' Generation (SNSD)

"Genie (Tell Me Your Wish)" is SNSD's second mini album to be released on June 29, 2009. The image of the girls with the magic lamp makes the audience immediately think of the tale Aladdin and the Magic Lamp. These nine goddesses are willing to make your dreams come true so don't hesitate to tell them what your dream is.

The tale above is clearly told through the Japanese version MV of this song.

"My House" - 2PM

On June 15, 2015, six members of 2PM returned with the album "NO.5" and promoted the title song "My House". In their MV for “My House,” each 2PM member enacts a different fairy tale character, combining several popular fables into one storyline. From “Beauty and the Beast” to “Snow White,” this music video just about has it all!

"The Red Shoes" - IU

"Modern Times" is the third studio album of IU which was released on October 8, 2013 with the title song "The Red Shoes". IU’s “The Red Shoes,” draws inspiration from a Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale by the same name. IU dances ceaselessly through the MV, in a tribute to this tale of a girl who is condemned to dance for eternity in a pair of red shoes.

"Bounce" - Boyfriend

Boyfriend is a boy group debuting in 2011 under the management of Starship Entertainment. On March 9, 2015 the group returned with their new album "Boyfriend In Wonderland". The fairy tale used by the boys in this comeback is Alice In Wonderland. In the music video for the title song "Bounce", the members transformed into characters in the tale like Cheshire Cat, Tweedledee, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, Mad Hatter, White Rabbit, and card soldiers.

  "Cinderella" - CNBlue

The Cinderella became the inspiration for the Electro Pop Rock theme song "Cinderella" from CNBlue's "2gether" album released on September 14, 2015. This CNBLUE music video is a retelling of the classic Cinderella story. The members meet their fairy tale princess, but are baffled when she vanishes, leaving only a shoe behind.

"Tinker Bell" - April

In 2015, the girl group April of DSP was debuted and pursued the lovely, innocent concept. "Spring" is the second mini album of the group released on April 27, 2016. In this MV, the girls of APRIL transform into woodland fairies with dresses inspired by Tinkerbell from “Peter Pan.” With their energetic dancing and bright smiles, they are as sweet and sprightly as the fairy herself!

As far as we can see, the fairy tales are an inspiration for a lot of MVs, of course, the artists don't enact the old tales as stereotypically as they were originally designed to be. The idols will creatively make many unique but quite familiar works to fit their concepts.

What do you think about this and the special songs above?
